It is said that for the most part only a half of all Americans will get a goods night sleep. This can be due to stress from their job, their mattress, or issues like sleep apnea. Getting a good nights sleep can have the following benefits.

My son recently joined the Boy Scouts and one of the first things that he wanted to do to earn a badge was create and sleep in a tent. We had the standard two men nylon tent that is pretty easy to setup, and then we had a canvas tent which was handed down to me by my uncle. Now originally with the canvas tent it was a little drafty but with the right weather proofing it was quite comfortable. It also offered better circulation and did not get that musty tent smell that you seem to get with the nylon versions. Putting up the canvas tent was a great challenge for my son and I and while we used for an overnight camping trip for future events we will probably convert it to an eating area since does hold more people and the height is more accommodating for adults. I just hope that my son continues to enjoy the outdoors as this is a great way to remain active instead if getting trapped in front of the Wii, or on the computer.

There is nothing like getting a new garage and having a place to store all your tools. You can have the best garage in the neighborhood but if your tools are just laying on top of shelves and tool boxes it looks like a mess. I am in the process of purchasing new stainless steel drawers to hold my tools. I love the look that I saw a long time on the sit-com “Tool Time”. Tim had a great system for tool storage and it always seemed that he had all the tools anyone could want. While I am not into all the power tools I do have your basic cordless drills, router saws, and drill bits. Having all this organized will make my garage look better than all my tools just laying every where.

In the world of healthcare there are many ways that companies market to those in the profession from branded notepads, clipboards, posters and pens. Custom pens are one of those vehicles that companies use to help create brand awareness and create goodwill. The great thing about pens is that they have a long shelf life and will usually get passed on to different people. The question that many have is ” Will a pen provided to a Dr. from a pharmaceutical company influence their decision on which products they prescribe” The answer is no! How could a long time health care provider who spent years going through school and training be influenced by a simple writing device.

In our new home we had purchased a beautiful rustic hanging light fixture that hangs in our main hallway as you enter the home. It has that rustic craftsmen look and really makes a great entry to the entire home. We have two chandeliers that are placed in our formal family and formal dining room that accent the main light piece. The chandeliers are 8 and 10 lights respectively and we had dimmers placed on them to be able to control the lighting in each room. We finally have some quality lighting in our home and it makes a huge difference in the look and atmosphere for each room. We also wanted our exterior lighting to match so that we created a continuity as people walked in to the home that there was a nice transition. I would highly recommend looking at the lighting package before buying a new home and asking the builder if you can be on the decisions as these are the fixtures you will be looking at for a long time.

When we were looking for our plasma TV one of the choices that we had to consider was whether we were going to hang it on the wall or place it on a stand. The plasma stand that we chose is clear glass that fits nicely in the corner so we did not have to have a technician come in and install the system. The stand was about $300 and something that they forget to tell you when you are buying the unit. There are so many styles and colors to choose from that it adds another dimension to the buying process. You can research stands online which is highly recommended to see what is available and not be limited to what is in the showroom of the dealer you are buying from.

There are many gadgets and add ons that you can put on your truck to make it stand out. A great gift idea would be a truck bed liner that can be used to keep your truck looking new and free from scratched. To pimp your rig you can choose from automatic running boards, high definition audio and video systems, and high end gas shocks to give your truck a more comfortable ride. You can add front end chrome grills that will make people want to get out of your way and really set your ride apart. Chrome fittings can really make a statement and add value to your new truck. Today consumers have a large selection of credit card companies in which to do business with. The companies know this and many offer special incentives to become your card of choice. The best thing on the market today is the 0% interest Sports Credit Card Offers for 12 - 15 months on purchases and sometimes balance transfers. This can be a great deal if you can manage your money wisely and not overspend your earnings. What causes consumers the biggest problems is that they use these cards only to incur more debt. The key thing with most credit card offers is to look at the terms. You do not have to read all the fine print but looking for a few items can save you a lot of grief and possible finance charges. If you sign up for a no interest credit card look to see if this covers both balance transfers and purchases. Is there a requirement to make so many purchases in a month to maintain the low interest rate. What are their stipulations for changing the credit offer? Some will change the interest rate if there is a change in your credit score, if you are late on only one payment, or if you do not make the required minimum purchases.
This is especially true for student credit card offers.

The health of the HDTV market has gotten stronger as more TV’s are now affordable to the masses. The technology has made it possible to get a larger LCD or Plasma TV with a great picture. The other factor is that all TV broadcasts in the US will be broadcast digitally by the year 2009, which means those without the converter will have trouble receiving their local broadcasts. When looking for your new HDTV make sure that they have the latest connection features such as HDMI, and digital audio connections. With more devices like DVD, audio, and TV players going to HDMI you may want to consider HDMI switches which will help you connect multiple sources to one device. HDMI is just the next step in connection technology and gives you the clearest picture and the best sound.

My wife and I were fortunate enough to be able to spend our 3 year wedding anniversary in Maui. When we were over there we did not realize all the Maui Weddings that take place, as it seemed that every day we saw a bride and groom, heading out to the beach to exchange vows. There is something about the tropical wedding flowers that you saw at these ceremonies that it made sense for us to renew our vows while on the island. The time we spent on the island was so relaxing and the people over there were extremely nice and accommodating. We are going to try and make this more of a regular trip to get over to Hawaii.

This season get a gift for your spouse or mom and dad that they will be able to enjoy all year long. We recently had the opportunity to review two bottles of wine from Mardona Vineyards thanks to Gold Medal wine clubs. The wine arrived nicely wrapped with a personalized gift card and a newsletter that featured that particular vineyard. My wife and I love win, but we are not the best picking out a bottle to have with dinner or share with friends. For many Americans around the country that love to drink wine a wine club is a great way to experience various wines and see what others have to say about them as well.
This months featured selection was a Merlot and Cabernet Sauvugnon from Mardona. This winery is nestled in the foot hills of the Sierra and was started by Dick Bush back in 1972. They originally started the grape farm to sell their produce to other wine makers but soon found out that they could control their own future by making their own wines. The newsletter that accompanied these two great bottles of wine went on to explain how the family and the region have won many awards for their wine. Our bottle of 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon won the Gold Medal at “Critics Challenge in San Francisco” The Cabernet was our favorite with it’s hint of dark chocolate and raspberry flavors and dash of vanilla. It paired great with our chocolate dessert that we took over to some friends house for a get together. Both wines were exceptional and this was a way to try a wine that we have never known about before.

This is a great benefit of the Gold Medal wine club as you get exposure to various regions and different wines. They offer various packages depending on your wine consumption so that everyone can be happy. Their newsletter helped us to understand the background of the wine and share the experience with the local grower and how this wine came to life. I would recommend this gift package to anyone looking for something out of the ordinary either for their spouse or valued customer as a gift for the holidays and through out the rest of the year.
