finding info on Mesothelioma

Posted by Jeff R On August - 30 - 2010ADD COMMENTS

Asbestos was used in car brakes (actually there are still brakes that use asbestos for the lining), building plasters, cements, shingles, insulation and many more applications. It is thought this is what may be causing the rise in Mesothelioma reported cases. This is why many buildings that are older than 40 years old may contain asbestos and the demolition of such homes become very harmful to the environment and those exposed to the debris. The thought has been that many companies knew of the dangers of using asbestos but because of the cost savings and risk to benefit ratio many companies never pushed for further testing on the possible effects. in 1989 the EPA outlawed all uses and applications of asbestos but this was later over turned in 1991 to limits it’s use.You recieve harmful effects by inhaling or ingesting asbestos fiber so this is why some forms of asbestos are still used in brake linings and other applications.

Selling online

One of the most effective and easiest ways to start selling online for me was to hook up a wholesale distributor that offered access to consumer DVD’s that we were selling. Through their connections they were able to offer me entry level access to their wholesale lots just by simply signing up for their site. The great thing about this method is that you can start with a small inventory and turn a profit fairly quick without having to invest a lot of capital to start.

Now that winter is here one of the things that you should look to replace is your air conditioner filters because of all the dirt and and allergens that have built up over the summer months. Since you are inside more and not opening the door as much having a clean air filter is essential in keeping your indoor clean and helping to prevent any air quality issues. Plus it could even help in your overall heating costs because your air is flowing better through the home and allowing your house to stay at a more constant temperature.

Plan for travel

It’s always a good idea to carry a first aid kit on any long trip you might be making. Be sure to include the headache, tummy ache and cold medicines in your first aid kit too. Keeping a cell phone on you at all times is a good idea and 911 will work any where in this country. If your trip is going to take you to an area for an extended amount of time, you will also want to know where the nearest hospital is, in case of an emergency. There is also motorhome towing assistance that you can call if you tasking the family via your motor home or fifth wheel. Taking the time to pack a few extra safety things and learning where the nearest hospital is located; is a way to insure that you and your family have a great and safe vacation. Be safe and always be sure to travel safe and plan ahead.

Bring on the heat

fireplaceWhen I first saw an electric fireplace I was curious on how functional it actually was. Come to find out most of the units can be purchased with our without heating elements so if you are looking for ways to provide additional heat to a living space and love the look and feel of a fireplace then this may be what you are looking for. You can find a wide selection of electric fireplaces that are both functional and beautiful to complement almost any room. They use LED technology so there is no need to change any lights and it is very energy efficient. A very cool idea to consider for this upcoming holiday season.

Taking extra precautions this school year

Posted by Jeff R On September - 15 - 2009ADD COMMENTS

This year will be a challenging one for schools in order to control the possible outbreak and spread of the H1N1 virus. Because of the close contact and proximity of students in all grades from Pre-K to High School the challenge to properly clean and sanitize rooms, books, and shared spaces will pose a challenge to schools and their staff. It will be especially harder to sanitize preschool furniture in the classroom since most younger kids are more likely to sneeze and cough on commonly shared items and not wash their hands as often. With a little extra caution this year hopefully we will not reading about any major outbreaks and the cold and flu season is mild at best.

Health of our environment

With all the companies and products stressing just how green they are with their new designs and manufacturing processes I was impressed to see that makers of the rubber stamp have joined in the fight. With some of the major vendors like Xstamper, Cosco, and Artline introducing new lines of eco friendly stamps it just goes to show how important the health of our environment truly is becoming. With simple everyday items that no one would pay attention too had their not been option now can difference.
