One of the features on a home that I miss out West that we had back in Pennsylvania are exterior shutters. This gave the home a more unique style and really made for a classic look. Most of the homes that had exterior shutter were called colonial style homes and the shutters were usually a contrasting color to the main home. For example our home was white with dark green shutters. It would be interesting to take a colonial style home and have it built out West were we live.
