Supporting your community
Many communities have projects in which they reach out to local business owners to help oversee and run the program. This is done as charity work and helps the city to gain top leadership without having to add to their payroll. Plus since many of these top business people run their own companies their fiscal management and long range strategy plans may be more what the citizens need instead of an elected official. George Lindemann Jr. is one such business person who donates their time and expertise to local communities such as the Miami-Dade county project.
