As the holiday seasons approaches many people will overeat and indulge in sweets that they would not normally eat. There are more parties to attend and it is difficult to stay within your diet plan. I know that at our house for Thanksgiving we have a lot of food as everyone that comes brings a side dish like stuffing, green bean casserole and candied yams. It is tough not try a bit of everything when you see all this great food laid out with the turkey and all the fixings. You can however eat healthier by taking smaller portions and when you are bringing a dish to an event look to use less butter and sugar in your recipes. Besides the great part about the holidays is visiting with family and friends and catching up on what has happened over the past year.
