More and more women are joining the ranks of golfers as a professional and leisure sport. This is due to the popularity of such players as Annika Sorenstam and Natalie Gublis. They have made golfing interesting and have shown that it is not all about what happens on the links and that golfing can be fashionable. Adidas sponsors many of these women golfers and what they wear on tour has translated into major dollars and a new customer base. Many of these women will play at the local Myrtle beach golf courses throughout the year in order to stay on their game between tournaments. Because of this increased interest more women are getting their exercise through a fun and social game. This could help those women who have worked at home and in the corporate world to reduce their stress and help lead to a healthier lifestyle
