My neighbor Bob keeps telling me about this awesome show on his Dish TV: Gold Rush. I don’t really understand what the appeal is all about but he says he can’t get enough of it. It’s all about the guys who go out to the most northern part of Alaska to mine for gold the way they did hundreds of years ago… As best I can tell it’s a gritty reality show that’s far more reality than it is drama. Bob really likes the show because he actually used to be a lumberjack and I think it reminds him of his life in the woods. I actually never knew Bob to be much of a TV watcher but he says this is his favorite show and he can’t get enough. I don’t know if one show is worth me getting some extra channels but I guess if Bob is to be believed then I should definitely reconsider whether or not I have enough channels at home to keep me occupied, you know?
