Allergies in the spring

Posted by Jeff R On March - 24 - 2009

Spring has officially begun and millions of Americans who suffer from allergies are looking for ways to reduce their exposure to allergens that may cause them issues. One of the top recommendations is to make sure that you have hypo-allergenic sheets and pillow cases to reduce the allergens in your home. You can also look at finer linens likes those from Sferra so that you can upgrade your blankets and cases and get rid of your old ones that may be harboring allergens that are not coming out when you wash. Spring can be a beautiful time of the year even for those with allergies as long as the correct measures are taken.

  1. Another thing that has helped for me is to have a good air filter (for example, a HEPA filter can work well). During the warmer times, the allergens from outside are usually getting inside the house much more, and if the air is not filtered, one will be exposed 24/7. This spring when I began to use an air filter my allergies were much less.
