With so many people now wearing disposable contact lenses we thought it would be a good idea to put together some simple tips that we have seen on making sure that you get the most out of your lenses. The idea is to help keep your eyes healthy and not cause any adverse impact on your sight by simply forgetting to change out your lenses or using the wrong solution. We have also found some sites that can help such as fast contact lenses that provide links and resources to the various types of contact lenses available on the market.
1) Follow your prescription for your lenses. If they say only wear them for a maximum amount of days do not exceed that limit as you will impact your eye. You should never wear your lenses for longer than prescribed.
2) Use a contact solution that has been recommended by your Dr. Not all solutions are the same and could end causing irritation or dry eyes.
3) Always wash your hands before handling your contact lenses, and try to avoid using waterless soaps as the chemicals can dry out the lenses.
4) For Women it is always best to apply your make-up after putting in your contact lenses.
5) You should never use regular tap water or saliva to moisten your lenses before placing them in your eye to avoid any contamination.
I have been using color contacts lenses for years now, i really love them, i will be trying some black sclera ones very soon.
I much prefer the ones that last for over one month
